Joyce Bliss

Joyce H. Bliss of Walden and Newburgh, NY, passed away Friday, January 13, 2023.  She was 90.

The daughter of the late Frank and Gladys Orr, she was born April 5, 1932.

Joyce was a registered nurse at St. Luke’s Hospital, Newburgh. She was a member of the Eastern Star of New York State.

Joyce loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Joyce loved to knit, needlepoint, read, sew, and do puzzles.

She was the widow of Harold Joseph Bliss. She was predeceased by her daughter Karen Lee Bliss and her sister Grace Ann Orr.

Joyce is survived by her sons, George and his wife Christine of Walden, and Kenneth and his wife Cindi of Coxsackie; grandchildren David, Michael, Gregory, Joseph, Jake and Sarah; great grandchildren Hunter, Mason, Hailey, Michaela, Travis, Austin, Jackson and Jake.

Visitation will be Wednesday, January 18, 2023, 10am-11:30am, at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.

A service will follow at 12pm at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in New Windsor, NY.
