Juan Sanchez Marquez (Grandpa John) of Pine Bush, NY, passed away Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Middletown. He was 75.

The son of Carmen Julie Marquez and the late Adolfo Sanchez, he was born April 22, 1946 in Puerto Rico.

Juan worked as a heavy machine loader operator for Grosso Materials, Montgomery, NY for 21 years.

Survivors include his Longtime companion Shirley DeGroat of Pine Bush, NY, mother Carmen Marquez of Puerto Rico, son Ricardo Marquez and wife Diane of Tennessee, daughter Linda Matza and husband Michael of Matamoras, PA, daughter Patty DeGroat and husband Kip of Wurtsboro, NY, son James Wallace and wife Melissa of Middletown, NY, son Tony Wallace and wife Rachel of Woodbourne, NY, daughter Amy of Bullville, NY, many brothers & sisters, nieces & nephews and many grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his father Adolfo Sanchez and son Johnny Marquez.

Juan loved spending time with his family and having a beer!! Juan will be remembered as a kind, loving companion, father, grandpa, brother. He will be deeply missed.

Cremation will take place privately.
