Kathryn Jane Schmidt

Kathryn Jane Schmidt of Montgomery, NY, a longtime resident of the area, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, in Middletown. She was 92.

The daughter of the late Frank D. and Marie Lawder Blizard, she was born November 16, 1929 in Montgomery.

She was a member of Holy Name of Mary Church, Montgomery, NY. Jane was born and raised in Montgomery. She was a devoted, patient, and exceptional mother and grandmother to her family. Jane was an example of true loving care in her quiet and sweet way.   

Survivors include her Husband Theodore X. Schmidt at home, Daughter Jean M. Kirtio & John of Montgomery, Daughter   Mary J. Eisnor & Donald of Montgomery, Son Peter Schmidt & Lori of Montgomery, Son Ted Schmidt Jr. of Montgomery, Daughter Irene Bosch & Donald of Walden, 10 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, Sister Mary Bond of Montgomery and her dearly loved nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers Frank, Edward and George Blizard.

A Mass of Christian burial will be Monday, August 29th,2022, at 11am at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.

Cremation will take place privately. Graveside services will take place at a later date.
