Margaret "Peggy" (Coghlan) Nicol

Margaret "Peggy" Nicol of Walden, N.Y. passed away on Sunday September 3rd in Murrells Inlet South Carolina she was 87.

The daughter of the late Charles & Amy Coghlan, she was born December 28th 1935 on Staten Island. 

Peg was the widow of Robert Nicol who predeceased her in 2014. & her son Bob Nicol 2016.

Peggy was a graduate of St.Joseph Hill Academy on Staten Island & Brockport State Teachers College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Health & Physical Education in 1956. She taught Physical Education in Schenectady, N.Y. area, Newburgh N.Y., and Lee Road School in Cornwall, N.Y. for 30 years. 

Peg loved to play golf & was a member of Osiris Country Club in Walden. N.Y. & Litchfield Country Club in Litchfield,  S.C. She also attended Most Precious Blood Church in Walden, N.Y. & Saint Michael's Church in Garden City. S.C.

She is survived by two daughters Susan Shattuck & her husband Scott Shattuck of Murrells Inlet, S.C., & Carol Webster & husband Bill Webster of Town of Newburgh, N.Y., one grandson Bobby Grahn & wife Ashley & their two sons Grayson & Silas of Manning, S.C.

Peg was a fun loving and wonderful wife, mother and friend and will be missed dearly.

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family at a later date.
