Margaret (Farrugio) Rappo

Margaret Rappo of Montgomery, NY, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2022, in Montgomery, NY.  She was 97.

The daughter of the late Giovanni and Carmela Farruggio, she was born January 28, 1925 in Manhattan, NY.

Margaret worked as a switchboard operator for NY Life Insurance.  

Survivors include her daughter Frances Rappo, son Salvatore Rappo & Jill, grandchildren Kristy & Dan Taromina, Anthony & Schuyler Rappo, Salvatore & Perrin Rappo, Kristen & Kevin Smith, Megan Meyer; and great grandchildren Matthew & Claudia Taromina, Hayden Camden & Carson Rappo, London & Harper Rappo, Emma & Ethan Smith.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, 2022, from 4-6:30pm at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.

A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 7pm, at Holy Name of Mary Church, Montgomery, NY 12549.

Entombment will take place privately at St. Michael’s Cemetery, Elmhurst, NY.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 322 8th Avenue, 7th Floor, New York, NY 10001.
