Mary Isabelle Gordon

Mary Isabelle Gordon was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. She passed away peacefully Saturday, August 10, 2024, in her Sarasota home with her children beside her.

Mary was the daughter of Harry C. Miller and Isabelle M. Miller (DeKay) of Orange Lake, NY.  She was born on March 19, 1934.

Mary loved her family so much.  She dedicated her life selflessly to raising her children, guiding and supporting them throughout their lives and being a best friend to each of them.  Her children and her granddaughter were the light of her life. She loved making the holidays memorable for everyone, preparing wonderful holiday dinners, baking delicious gifts for friends and family, and making every celebration special throughout the years.  Her Thanksgiving dinners, St. Patrick’s Day dinners and homemade pies were legendary.

Mary was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Gordon. They were married for 27 years, before his passing at 51 years old.  Mary is survived by her children, Mary Ellen, Patricia (Charles Dimidio), Scott, and her granddaughter, Mya, brother Harry G. Miller (Rose), brother Robert J. Miller (Eileen) and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial visitation will be Saturday, August 31, 2024, 10am-12-pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.

Interment of ashes will follow at Calvary Cemetery, 304 Walsh Ave., New Windsor, NY 12553.
