Matthew C. Slater

Matthew C. Slater of Pine Bush, NY, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2025 in Hyde Park, NY. He was 52.

The son of William Slater and the late Mary Wilson Slater, he was born March 27, 1973 Albany, NY.

Matthew is survived by his fiance Shannon Perrone, son Zach Slater and Rianna Wright, granddaughters Aubri and McKinzli, father Bill Slater, aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Matthew brought so many smiles to anyone around. He had a passion for playing music. He was a well known musician who played in multiple bands, but was mainly known for being a bass in Beneath the Remains. He was also into photography. He loved capturing other bands as well as the outdoors.

He was predceased by his mother Mary Slater.

Memorial visitation will take place Saturday, November 8, 2025 10am-12pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.

A service will follow at 12pm.

Cremation will take place privately.
