Maurice "Jerry" Jerome Picard

Maurice Jerome “Jerry” Picard of New Windsor, NY, a longtime resident of the area passed away Tuesday May 11, 2021, in Newburgh.  He was 87.

The son of the late Dr. Maurice Picard and Catherine Adams Moore Picard,he was born October 3, 1933 in Cambridge, MA.

Jerry was a professor of economics and taught money and banking for Mount St. Mary College, Newburgh, NY from 1986 to 2015. After graduating from Dartmouth College he served in the U.S. Navy.

He was a member of New Windsor Rotary Club, and a Paul Harris Fellow. He also served on the Club’s scholarship committee. For much of his life he sang in local choirs. 

Jerry is survived by his sister Charlotte Sheltus of Philipsburg, Quebec, Cananda.

Memorial visitation will be Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 6-8pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.

A service will follow at 8pm.
