Michael L. Dunnigan

Michael L. Dunnigan of Wallkill, NY, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 in Wallkill, NY. He was 64.

The son of the late Raymond B. Dunnigan and Esther A. (Meredith) Dunnigan, he was born September 20, 1961 in Middletown, NY.

Michael was a graduate of Wallkill Senior High School and the State University of New York College at Delhi.

He was employed at the Work Control Center for the NYS Office of Mental Health at the Middletown Psychiatric Center, Middletown, NY. He retired in 2018 with 30 years of State service.

Michael was a member of the Wallkill Reformed Church and the Historical Society of Shawangunk and Gardiner.

He is survived by his brother Edward J. Dunnigan, many cousins and dear friends.

He was predeceased by his parents.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2025 7pm-9pm at Wallkill Funeral Home, 12 Bona Ventura Ave., Wallkill, NY 12589.

A service will be held Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at 11am at Wallkill Reformed Church, 45 Bridge Street, Wallkill, NY 12589. Rev. Dr. Stan Seagren will officiate, along with Rev. Keith Tamlyn.

Burial will follow at Bruynswick Rural Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wallkill Reformed Church.
