Michael H. Leary

Michael H. Leary of Wallkill, NY, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2024, in Kingston.  He was 81.

The son of the late Henry W. Leary and Thelma Nash Leary, he was born March 9, 1943 in Newburgh.

Mike was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He was a member of the Wallkill Rod and Gun Club and a lifetime NRA member. Mike loved farming; he and Helen spent many days at the Livingston Farm in West Winfield, NY, where he would help with the crops.

Michael was a retired traffic manager for Eastern Alloys, Maybrook, NY.

When he wasn’t at work, he would be mowing the lawn or washing his truck. He was always busy doing something! 

He loved his family especially his grandson Zachary.

He was the widower of Helen Leary.

Survivors include his son Scott M. Leary & his wife Tammy, son Michael A. Leary, grandson Zachary Leary & his fiancé Lindsey, sister-in-law Carol Cotton, nephew Chris Cotton, and nephew Mark Cotton & his wife Laura.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 19, 2024, 4pm-7pm at Wallkill Funeral Home, 12 Bona Ventura Ave., Wallkill, NY 12589.

A graveside service will be Thursday, June 20, 2024, at 10am in Bruynswick Rural Cemetery in Wallkill, NY. Pastor Cathy Bruce will officiate.
