Nancy Riley “Betty Boop”, age 69, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family and hearing the laughter of her grandchildren on June 23, 2023. The only child of George and Hedy Byelick, Nancy was born on September 10, 1953 in Plainfield, NJ.  When she was a teenager, her family moved to Wallkill, NY and she graduated from Wallkill Senior HIgh School in 1971. Nancy worked as a receptionist for New Paltz Chiropractic and then as a secretary for SUNY New Paltz until she retired to take care of her mother.

Nancy is predeceased by her parents, grandparents and uncles.  She is survived by her son, Lindon “Butch” Eaton and his wife, Kelly Eaton, and grandson Walker, Wallkill, NY; daughter Kimberly MacEntee and granddaughters Meghan and Natalie MacEntee, Wallkill, NY, grandson Justin Eaton and his wife Isabel and great grandson Ezra, Killeen, Tx; Uncle Joseph Verderber and his wife Donna Krom, Walden, NY, as well as several cousins and friends.  

Nancy enjoyed bingo, relaxing by the pool, and being outside.  She will be remembered for her strength, hard work, her love of pizza, and for the love she had for her family.

To honor our mother’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.  We invite you to privately celebrate Nancy’s memory in your own way.
