Patricia Long

Patricia Long, age 64, of Cortland, New York, passed away peacefully on April 28, 2026.

Patricia was born on June 29, 1961, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania and dedicated her life to the noble profession of teaching French. In her lifetime, Patricia was known, above all, for her warmth, strength and compassion. Her generosity towards her family, friends and students knew no bounds. She spent her free time crocheting and knitting beautiful blankets for her relatives and newborns. Patricia’s joyful spirit was evident to all who knew her.

Patricia is survived by her loving son, Patrick Piescor; and her siblings, Harriet Patterson, Kathryn Seitz, Peter Burke and Daniel Burke.

A celebration of Patricia’s life will be held on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Wallkill Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Project Linus.
