Patti-Jo Liefer

Patti-Jo Liefer, 61, of Newburgh, New York, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 20, 2026, after a brief stay in the hospital.

Born on May 27, 1965, at the Keller Army Community Hospital (formerly U.S. Army Hospital, West Point) in West Point, New York and baptized at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Newburgh, New York, she was the daughter of the late Arlin T. Liefer and is survived by her mother Lorraine E. Jones.  She graduated from Newburgh Free Academy in 1984.

Patti-Jo will be remembered for her beautiful soul and irresistible laugh. She had many challenges during her life to which she demonstrated bravery and determination to live her life to the fullest.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Herbert L. and Bertha M. Liefer, her grandmother Lorraine E. Romans, and her brother Ronald E. Liefer.

She will be missed by her sisters Lizbeth L. Liefer and Samantha J. Knight, her brother David T. Blatchford, and a large community of extended family and friends.

May heavenly angels sing her to her rest.
