Paul E. Lohiser

Paul E. Lohiser, 87, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2023. Paul was born on December 13, 1935, in Meadville PA to the late Harry and Mary Lohiser.

After graduating from Meadville Area Senior High School, Paul joined the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1964. While in High School, he began working at Western Union Telegraph Company and through its reorganization to AT&T where he retired from. He then enjoyed his membership with the Retired Western Union Employees Association.  Paul was a devout Catholic, and active member of St. Mary’s Church, Montgomery, NY where he was a Lector and taught religious education. He was a fourth-degree Knight of Columbus with the Rev. Richard Joyce Council #2270.

Paul will be deeply missed. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased in death by his siblings, Donald, Grace, and Albert.  Paul is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Patricia J. (Holzapfel) Lohiser and his daughter Deborah (Sean) Ostrander and granddaughter, Margaret. He is also survived by his sister, Janice and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial visitation will take place Friday, March 31, 2023 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St. Montgomery NY, 12549. A service will follow at 12:30pm at the funeral home.
