Paul A. Melzer

Paul A. Melzer, of Maybrook, NY, passed away Tuesday, November 12, 2024. He was 92.

The son of the late Albin and Marie (Stegman) Melzer, he was born April 1, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY.

Paul served in the United States Army and was a retired engineer for IBM in East Fishkill, NY. He was an avid stamp collector and enjoyed playing chess. Paul was also a loyal Mets fan, and he enjoyed watching his favorite games shows Family Feud, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy.

He is survived by his wife Betty, daughter Lynn Princisvalle & her husband Tony, daughter Nancy Melzer, daughter Janice Melzer, daughter Carol Petrilli & her husband Billy, grandchildren Katherine (Andrew) Schrichte, Lauretta (Lance) Sonner, Joseph (Azenet) Zak, Diane (William) Eull, Michael (Jocelyn) Petrilli, great grandchildren Gwyn, Killian, Bran, Natalie, Jaxon, Melody, Luke, Parker, Jazper and baby Schrichte to be, sister-in-law Valerie Gardner and nieces, nephews and extended family.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his brother and sister-in-law Carl and Virginia Melzer.

Visitation will take place Monday, November 18, 2024, 3pm-6pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.

A funeral service will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at 10:30am at the funeral home.

Burial will follow in Wallkill Valley Cemetery.
