Paul Rebello Obituary

Paul w. Rebello of Maybrook, NY, passed away Saturday May 31, 2025 in Newburgh. He was 84.

The son of the late Sophie Urbelis-Greenfield, he was born October 23, 1940 in Queens, NY.

Paul was retired police officer for the New York City Police Department. He also served in the United States Army from 1959-1961 and was a member of the Brewery Keenan Heiser American Legion Post #1815 in Glendale, Queens.

He loved to collect Yankees memorabilia and was an avid fan. He enjoyed playing baseball and especially loved watching his grandchildren play. Affectionately known as "Papa", Paul and his wife Florence would make many trips up from Queens to attend different events that their grandchildren were involved in and he loved spending time with each one of them. He also enjoyed watching cooking shows whenever he could.

Paul is survived by his wife Florence Rebello, daughter Laura Kelly and her husband John, daughter Susan Rebello, daughter Teresa Rebello, daughter Lisa Kelly and her husband Paul, grandchildren Paul Rebello, Robert Kelly, Andrew Rebello, Michael Kelly (Ashley), Alexa Kelly, Amanda Snyder and Shane Kelly, brother Kenneth Greenfield, sister Alexis Manahan, many nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Along with his mother he was predeceased by his son Paul Rebello (wife Michelle) and brother Ronald Greenfield.

Cremation will take place privately.
