Pauline (Erker) Brawitsch

Pauline Brawitsch, of Walden, NY, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in Croton-on-the-Hudson, NY. She was 88.

The daughter of the late Johann Erker and Maria Knauss Erker, she was born on June 20, 1936, in Yugoslavia.

Pauline is survived by her husband Stefan Brawitsch, daughter Barbara Graf & her husband Paul, son Steven Brawitsch & his wife Kathleen, grandchildren Mark, Ryan, Jakob and Julienna, sister Maria Reichmann, sister Helen Rom, nieces and nephews.

Besides her family, Pauline was also passionate about gardening, cooking, and baking. She passed her love and knowledge of these onto her children and grandchildren. Pauline was best known for her Apple Strudel, complete with handmade filo dough. 

Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings Erna Ricciardi, Albert Erker and Johann Erker.

Visitation will take place Friday, November 8, 2024, 2pm-4pm & 7pm-9pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place Saturday November 9, 2024, at 10:30am at Most Precious Blood Church, 42 Walnut St., Walden, NY.

Burial will follow in Wallkill Valley Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Town of Montgomery Ambulance or the American Heart Association.
