Richard Michael Purdy Sr.

Richard Michael Purdy Sr passed away on October 4th 2023 at St Luke's hospital in Newburgh.

He was born on July 24th 1952 to parents James Ellsworth Purdy Sr. and Ethel Purdy (Swarts) in Poughkeepsie, New York, however he resided in Walden New York for the majority of his lifetime. He was predeceased by his parents, 3 brothers, 1 Sister,2 nieces, and 1 nephew.

Survivor's include his first born son Richard Michael Purdy Jr among several other children and his grandchildren, his brother Stephen Purdy, sister-in-law Pamela Purdy, one brother-in-law, one nephew and several nieces including Kristin Purdy and her two children with many other great nieces and nephews.

He was a beloved Son, brother, father, and uncle to the remaining family members and a great friend to many. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him.
