Robert L. Baan

Robert L Baan of Wallkill, a Mechanical Engineer for IBM, Fishkill, NY

and a longtime resident of the area passed away Monday, August 16, 2021, in Newburgh.  He was 78.

The son of the late Gyula and Anna Baan, he was born June 23, 1943 in Bistrica, Romania.

Survivors include his wife Eva at home; daughters Tania Laracuente, Naya Baan; son Robert Baan; niece Debbie & husband Joe Hansen, and their children Jeff, Jordan & John; nephew    Richard Backhofen & wife Ruth, their children Stephanie & Richard; Eva’s niece  Tymea and many dear friends.

A memorial mass will take place Saturday, September 4th, at 1pm at St. Paul's Catholic Church, 2800 RT 17, Bullville, NY.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Judes Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
