Robert O. Marroon of Walden, NY, a longtime resident of the area, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023, in Walden.  He was 75.

The son of the late Harry Marroon and Dorothy Rose Totty Marroon, he was born September 19, 1947 in Newburgh.

Robert was a mason in Wallkill Lodge 627 F. & A.M. in Walden, NY and a member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Walden, where he served as Jr. Warden. He worked as a supervisor for RSR, Middletown, NY. Robert was jack of all trades and used his vast knowledge to help anyone when he could.

Survivors include his niece Joanne Sheeley & her fiancé James Steinhilber, niece Donna Couser & Thomas, nephew William Drexel, niece Frances Young & Timothy, great nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Shirley M. Sheeley and her husband Richard W. Sheeley.

Cremation will take place privately.
