Robert John Ramppen Sr.

Robert John Ramppen Sr. of Pine Bush, NY, a longtime resident of the area, passed away Sunday, May 1, 2022 in Middletown. He was 86.

The son of the late Francis E. Ramppen and Cecelia R. McCarthy Ramppen, he was born May 26, 1935 in Bronx, NY.

Robert owned and operated his own plumbing business and served in the United States Navy. He was an avid fisherman.

Survivors include his wife  Anne Duffy Ramppen, daughter Theresa Ramppen, daughter Jean Marie Ramppen & companion Barry Smith, son Robert Ramppen Jr., daughter Anne Ramppen; grandchildren JR, Erin, Steven, Amanda; sisters-in-law Judy Duffy, Fran Duffy; several nieces, nephews & extended family; longtime childhood friend Barbara Barfield & the late Dooney Barfield; and  longtime friends Carol & Joe Rist..

Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Joanne Marie, brothers Jimmy, Frankie, Richard, Jackie, sisters Cecelia, Patsy, Ann, Dolly, brothers-in-law & sisters-In-law Barbara & Ted Lewandowsky, Mary & George Hall, and brothers-in-law Pat Duffy, Eugene Duffy, Charles Duffy.

A funeral service will take place Monday, May 9, 2022, at 10:30am at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586. **At the request of the family, masks will be required.

Inurnment will follow in Orange County Veterans Cemetery in Goshen, NY.
