Robin Wesley Marsh of Walden, NY passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 at Middletown Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare after a lengthy illness. He was 84 and was born on October 29, 1941 at Tuxedo Hospital in Tuxedo, NY to George and Margaret (Griffin) Marsh.
As a proud descendent of the Mayflower pilgrims, Rob was predeceased by his brother Bruce Gross and his twin sister, Melissa. He is survived by children Stephen, Dean, and Jennifer, sister Shelley McCrady & her husband Cliff, fiancée Cheryl Helie, as well as nieces, nephews, close family and friends. A special thank you to Adam Siruchek, son-in-law and good friend who was by his side until the time he passed.
Rob served in the US Army from 1962-1964 with the Military Police. He was assigned to Raven Rock Mountain Complex and attained the rank of SP4.
As a carpenter and construction project manager he worked on projects such as the Thruway Market in Walden, NY, the original Tappan Zee bridge, US Military Academy at West Point, and worked to construct and paint stage props for Broadway productions. He also worked as a stonemason, working on a number of projects with his good friend, Richard Phelps.
Rob’s passions were bird feeding, bird watching, and building birdhouses, as well as planting and tending his zinnias. He loved spending time with friends. His home was never locked so that friends and family could come around at any time for a visit. The jingle of the bell on the door signaled the arrival of guests.
Arrangements will be made by Millspaugh Funeral Directors. No visitation or services are planned, and a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date on Long Beach Island.
