Devoted Mother, Grandmother and Nana.

Rosemary was born & raised in the Bronx. She graduated from Cathedral High School, SUNY Orange Nursing Program and attended Mercy College in pursuit of her Bachelors Degree. Her nursing career spanned over 56 years. She began at the Foundling Hospital working with newborns and young children, after getting married she worked med/surg at St. Luke's Hospital, Newburgh, NY. Her career continued to Arden Hill Hospital where she originally worked med/surge part time and later returned to AHH as a Mental Health Nurse,in Goshen, NY.  Additionally she worked at Sylcox Nursing Home in Newburgh, Dr. Gerner's Office in Chester, and two tours as a traveling nurse in a Forensic Unit in Hawaii. Her final experience was the Turning Point, Drug and Alcohol Rehab, at St. Francis Hospital, Beacon, NY. When the rehab center closed, in 2010, she hung up her nursing duties at the age of 78. Rosemary was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her roles of Grandma and Nana. She had a naturally outgoing personality and always made people around her smile.She is the loving & devoted mother of Charles Bodensieck III and his wife Kathy Nuzzolese Bodensieck, Christopher Bodensieck, Dr. Raymond Bodensieck and his wife Karen Kapsalis Bodensieck, Barbara Bodensieck Ryan and her partner, Walter Fedun, Susan Bodensieck, and her youngest Eric Bodensieck and his wife Julianna Bull-Brown Bodensieck.  She leaves behind her 15 Grandchildren, Melissa Morrone, Kristen Milliken, Edward Morrone Jr., Kaella Ryan, Dominic Morrone, Christopher Bodensieck Jr., Alexander Bodensieck, Glenn Ryan Jr., Stephanie Bodensieck, Elisabeth Bodensieck, Michelle Bodensieck,  William Bodensieck, Charles Bodensieck IV, Xavier Bodensieck and Lillian Bodensieck

She was vibrant and beautiful, just like the flowers that she loved to grow and the colors she wore.  Her true cure-all was ice cream. She shared and lived by many wise words, including "You reap what you sow" We were blessed to have had her for so many years, though it would never be long enough.
 
She built an empire of strong children and grandchildren. She sowed into our lives... love and kindness. Thank you Momma Rose.

Visitation will be Monday, July 5, 2021, from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at Overhiser Funeral Home, 78 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.

A mass of Christian burial will be Tuesday, July 6, at 10:30am, at Holy Name of Mary Church, 89 Union St., Montgomery, NY 12549.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Montgomery, NY.
