Sandra Donna (Scott) Demshick

Sandra Donna Demshick, of Modena NY passed away unexpectedly on July 21, 2022. She was 72 years old. The daughter of the late Franklin Henry Scott and Elizabeth Scott. She was born on October 31, 1949 in Kingston NY.

Sadly, she leaves behind her loving husband Gerald C. Demshick Sr, of Modena NY, Son Gerald C. Demshick Jr. of Florida and daughter Sherri Demshick - Masuch  of Modena NY. Granddaughters Nicole Masuch of Ellenville NY and Ashlynne Demshick of Walden NY.  She and Gerald shared a large, blended family that included Melissa Scott – Pangia, Richard Demshick, Ronald Demshick and Steven Demshick. Together they have 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great grandson on the way. Sandra has many extended family members and friends.

Sandra was predeceased by her brothers Arthur and Steven Scott, sister Rolinda Scott, and stepson John M. Demshick. She is survived by her sisters Bethanne Blinder of Florida, Jean Merrecka of Kingston and brother Edwin Hatch of Florida.

Sandra was employed as a home health aide for over 20 years. She had an immense love for her family, cats, butterflies, and an unwavering faith in God. The following poem is with dedication to all that knew Sandra.

As I sit in heaven
As I sit in heaven and watch you every day,
I try and let you know with signs,
I never went away.
I hear you when you’re laughing,
And I watch you as you sleep,
I even place my arms around you,
To calm you as you weep.
I see you wish the days away begging to have me home,
So, I try and send you signs, so you know you’re not alone.
Don’t feel guilty that you have life.
Life that was denied to me,
Heaven is truly beautiful,
Just you wait and see!
So, live your life,
Laugh again,
Enjoy yourself and be free.
Then I’ll know with each breath you take,
You’ll be taking one for me.

Visitation will take place Saturday, July 30, 2022, 4pm-6pm, at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586. A service will follow at 6pm.
