Stephen T. Gollow, of Montgomery, NY, passed away Saturday, September 2, 2023 in Newburgh. He was 48.
The son of Stephen and Donna Gollow, he was born January 9, 1975 at Horton Hospital in Middletown, NY. He resided in Montgomery his whole life. Steve was an avid lover of all things trains. He loved to travel to town and historical railroad tracks and stations.
He collected and built model railroads as a hobby and was part of the Catskill Society of Model Engineers and National Model Railroad Association. To further enjoy his passion, he was also a volunteer for 20+ years at the Catskill Mountain Railroad.
Aside from his love of trains he loved anything with an engine. He formerly owned his own landscape business which he was very dedicated to. His experience and talent of gardening was something that was inherited from his late grandmother. Beside owning his own company, he was a skilled truck driver, very proficient at operating any type of machinery. You could drive by the house and see Steve driving on his tractor, even participating in the Montgomery’s tractor parade.
Steve enjoyed driving and exploring new towns. He and his wife would spend long weekends in Lake George and Vermont.
He is survived by his loving wife AnnMarie Gollow and their fur baby Scout Blue, brother Christopher Gollow, Stepmother Diane Gollow, Stepsister Lisa and husband Chris, Mother-in-law Kathleen Jones, Father-in-law Patrick Wassmann and wife Constance, sister-in-laws, brother-in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
