Verylena (Finch) Jackson

Verylena Jackson of Wallkill, NY, passed away Thursday, January 29, 2026, in Wallkill. She was 89.

The daughter of the late Enos Finch and Mildred Ingraham Finch, she was born September 27th, 1936, in Meridale, NY and was retired from CJ Mailing, Walden, NY.

She was the widow of Bernard W. Jackson Sr (Teamsters Local 445) and is survived by her daughter Joyce Nicoli, son- in-law Gino Nicoli, son Bernard W. Jackson Jr and daughter-in law Laurie Jackson, brothers Bill Finch and wife Michelle and Barney Finch and wife Margaret, four Grandchildren (David Nicoli and wife Eliza, Jody Nicoli, Erika Gibson and husband Zach, and Keegan Jackson) in addition to six Great Grandchildren (Sawyer, Genieve, Mikey, Cameron, Jaelyn, and Gauge).

Along with her husband and her parents, she was predeceased by her son Richard Douglas Jackson, Grandsons Steven Nicoli, and Christian David Nicoli, and siblings Orion, Otis, Robert, Rosetta, Marion, Cecil, Noris and Jack Finch.

Visitation will take place Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 12:00 PM (noon) at Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main St., Oneonta, NY 13820.

A service will follow visitation Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.

Burial will be held in the spring at Oneonta Plains Cemetery.
