Wade Christopher Conklin Jr., originally of Middletown, NY, passed away on August 7 2024 in Port Jervis, NY.
He was the beloved son of Wade Christopher Conklin Sr. of Georgia and Annemarie Coffey (Dunikowski) of Martha’s Vineyard, Massachusetts.
In his early years at Middletown High School, Wade was known for his dynamic presence as a Varsity diver, football player and lacrosse player. His competitive spirit and outgoing nature earned him many friends from various walks of life. Wade’s most defining trait was his compassion. He was a staunch champion for the underdog, a protector of the downtrodden, and a loyal friend to all. With a heart as big as his temper, Wade was fiercely protective of those he loved. His kindness, devotion, passion and free-spirited nature were evident in all aspects of his life. Family was HIS everything. The role of being the big brother was a badge of honor for Wade. His extended family of brothers, sisters, cousins and friends where at the center of Wade’s world. Each and everyone of them know how deeply they were loved by him. Wade was also a valued member of the H.O.O.D. Ryderz Motorcycle Club in Port Jervis, NY.
In addition to his parents, Wade is survived by his sister Breanna Marie Conklin, brother Connor John Coffey, brother, Christian Conklin; his sister, Denise Conklin; and his brother, Maddox Conklin. He also leaves behind his maternal (step) grandmother, Lois-Barton Dunikowski, as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Wade was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
A celebration of Wade’s life, hosted by his mother AnneMarie Coffey (Dunikowski), will be announced at a later date. Additionally, a separate memorial gathering hosted by his father will take place on August 20, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 10:00 PM at VFW Post 161, located at 4751 Owen Street, Port Jervis, NY 12774
