Wayne A. Russell

Wayne Allen Russell of Bullville/Pine Bush, NY, passed away Friday, May 12, 2023, in Pine Bush.  He was 41.

The son of James Russell and Cindy Zwart Russell, he was born February 4, 1982 in Middletown.

Wayne was a man for all seasons.  Need help moving something in the rain? No problem.  Need to unload a quad from the back of a pickup in the freezing slush?  Need something lifted or loaded or lugged, especially at an inopportune time?  Call Wayne - he was your guy.  Need a ride to TN? Load up the RV and attach a trailer!  But Wayne was a thinker and a problem solver as well.  He liked to know how things worked, how to dismantle them, and how to rebuild them.  He was methodical, too. Things belonged in their places.

Everyone’s friend, he had an intoxicating smile and laugh.  Well-known for his rambunctious behavior, he was also the silent observer, keeping an eye on things, a considerate and loving husband and father, brother to all.  He will be missed.

Survivors include his Wife Arielle Russell, Daughter Hayden Russell, Son Duke Russell, Parents James and Cindy Russell, Sisters Jessica (Matt) Kilduff, Beth (Tyler) Makela, Brother-in-law Jacob (Abby) Donnell, Grandmother Arline Zwart, Mother-in-law Sherri Donnell, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 21, 2023, 3pm-5pm at Goodwill Church, 2135 State Route 208, Montgomery, NY 12549.  

A service will follow at the church at 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Wayne’s name to the DEC: Lower Hudson Valley- Natural Heritage Trust .
