William M. Stinson Sr.

William M. Stinson Sr. of Walden, NY, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026, in Middletown. He was 88.

The son of the late Thomas and Marion Kirkwood Stinson, he was born May 24, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY.

William served in the United States Marine Corps and was a retired sergeant for the NYPD. He served many years honorably at the 77th precinct in Brooklyn.

He is survived by his son Michael Stinson and his wife Lisa, cherished granddaughter Hannah E. Stinson, daughter-in-law Joanne Stinson, brother James A. Stinson and his wife Barbara, brother Daniel A. Stinson, sister Kathleen A. Armoto and her husband Russell, many nieces and nephews

Along with his parents he was predeceased by his son William Stinson Jr., wife  Carol Ann Stinson, sister Marilyn M. Haislet, brother Thomas H. Stinson, brother Robert K. Stinson, brother David K. Stinson, brother John C. Stinson, and sister Jane C. Deus.

Cremation will take place privately.

There will be a graveside service at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, Goshen
