Words cannot express the sadness that has come over me after learning of Melba's passing this week. Although I have not seen her in a number of years, I reflect back and remember fondly visiting with her regularly as a child. She was always warm, gracious, caring and made sure I was always well fed. I think back to playing in the sand pile with my construction toys and laying in the hammock. She touched my life in wonderful ways, for which I will always be forever grateful. May God comfort her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and their families through their grieving. Rest peacefully Melba and I will miss you dearly!
