Nicola Anthony Malatesta of Wallkill, NY, a retired welding fabricator at Metalcraft, in the Bronx, died Friday, February 5, 2016, in Newburgh. He was 84.

The son of the late Luigi and Rosario Malatesta, he was born January 10, 1932 in Abruzzi,Italy.

Nicola attended Most Precious Blood Church in Walden.

After he retired, in later years, he proudly worked with his son at Rob's Pizza in the Hamlet of Wallkill, making the dough and always greeting people with his famous "Weee!" 　He enjoyed playing cards, was an avid bowler, and had a passion for soccer, he especially loved attending his grandson Nicholas' games.

son Robert Malatesta of Wallkill, NY

five grandchildren: Joseph, Christopher, Pasquale, Nicholas and Emma

nieces and nephews

brother Sergio of Italy

He was predeceased by his

brother Fernando

Visitation will be Monday, February 8, 2016, 5-8 P.M. at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St.Walden, NY.

A funeral mass will be Tuesday, February 9, 2016, 10:30 A.M. at Most Precious Blood, Walnut St., Walden, NY.

Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in Bronx, NY.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Wallkill Volunteer Fire Department, P.O. Box 460, Wallkill, NY 12589.
