life is a mathematical certainty, with that said, you were Kerry's other half in a scientific reality. Few are able to share such a bond and the tragic event that puts us in the place and time is beyond understanding. If anything, having the ability to share this thing called life with another through such journey is itself a gift. Rest peacefully as you soar through the clouds on your way to the land beyond where peace and harmony will forever be with you.
Kerry, stand strong, though the complexity of circumstances you are now faced with, will be a painful walk through understanding. Keep the light bright in your heart for the time you shared as many would appreciate having just that. Move forward with strength and support from those around you and those who care deeply for you. Find memories in your children and become the rock they too need.
