Shirley Sutton Bullis a lifetime resident of the area died Thursday, January 28, 2016, in Middletown.  She was 94. 

The daughter of the late John and Hilda Yeaple Sutton, she was born February 27, 1921 in Walden and lived in Walden prior to moving to Wallkill. She was a clerk for the NYNH and the O&W railroad during wartime, a former owner of the Maybrook Diner with her husband from 1945-1973 and after that an account clerk for the Village of Walden.
She was a life member of Walden United Methodist Church. She was also a Town of Montgomery Republican Committee Person,

She was the widow of Frank "Pete" Bullis.

Survivors include her
Son,          Randy E. Bullis and his wife Norma of Port St. Lucie, FL
Son,          Peter J. Bullis and his wife Marjorie of Montgomery, NY
Daughter,     Deanne Bullis-Kimler and her companion John E. Honkala of Walden
7 Grandchildren: George Bullis, David Bullis and his companion Emily Smith, Frank Kimler and his Fiance' Sari Madi, Jay Kimler and his wife Kelly, Patrick Bullis and his wife Amanda, Kalyn Sutton Kimler Bard and her husband Justin, and Kellie Bullis Eck and her husband Jonathon.
Four great grandchildren: Jay Francis Kimler, Alaina Christine Eck, Sutton Frances Bard, and Avery Grace Kimler

Many nieces, nephews and cousins
She was predeceased by her son in law Frank Kimler.

Mom was loved by all that met her.  She will be extremely missed by her children. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren will miss their “Nanny” and “Great-Nanny” .  She was a great cook, card player and friend to many. The Family would like to give a special thank you to her caretaker, Vicki Herzog and Dr. Charles Strober of Middletown.
Visitation will be Sunday, January 31, 2016 from 4-7 pm. at Millspaugh Funeral home, 22 Bank St. Walden, NY.

Funeral services will be Monday, February 1, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 15 Walnut St., Walden, NY. Pastor Matthew Querns will officiate.

Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery in Walden, NY.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hudson Valley Honor Flight, P.O. Box 375, Walden, NY 12586.
