John Marron, Sr. Obituary

John J. Marron Sr. of Montgomery, NY, a longtime resident of the area passed away Thursday, December 27, 2018 at home.  He was 94.   

The son of the late Peter and Alice Comiskey Marron, he was born June 02, 1924 in Manhattan.  

John served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He owned and operated his own construction company and Montgomery Tire in Montgomery.  He was a 70 year member of Montgomery Volunteer Fire Department, a 70 year member of American Legion post 521, a mason in the Wallkill Lodge #627, Walden, NY, a member of Holy Name of Mary Church, and a founding member of Montgomery Drag Racing and Sportscar Racing, at Orange County Airport. 

He was the widower of Helen Rosenberg Marron.  

Survivors include his 
Daughter     JoAnn Scheels & her husband Sandy of Montgomery, NY Daughter     Ellen Dykshoorn & her husband Ed of Goshen, NY 
Son          John J. Marron Jr. & his wife Patty of Montgomery, NY 
7 Grandchildren Mary Cron, Bill Stewart Jr.,.Donna Foster, Ed Dykshoorn                     
                Jr., David Dykshoorn, Wendy Plante, John Marron 
12 Great Grandchildren, with 1 on the way  
5 Great Great Grandchildren  
Sister       Marie Tipping     
Sister in law   Elizabeth Rosenberg Steinman 
Caretaker    Susan Spitz 
Many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews  

Along with his parents and wife he was predeceased by
                4 Brothers  
                3 Sisters    

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Montgomery Senior Center, 36 Bridge Street, Montgomery, NY.
