Edward “Butchie” Burns of Montgomery, NY, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2022, at home. He was 74.
The son of the late Robert E. Burns and June A. Arnold Burns, he was born August 24, 1947, in Newport, RI.
He was an avid reader and enjoyed his many years in construction and helping to coach his grandchildren's little league teams.
Ed was a very loving husband, devoted, and caring father and grandfather. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
Survivors include his daughter Judy Caston of Montgomery, daughter Amy Bornander of Montgomery, six precious grandchildren who meant the world to him, Scotty, Jimmy and Jeff (Caston), Danny, Amanda and Joey (Bornander), as well as two great grandchildren Savannah and John; sister Bonnie Rositer of Rhode Island, brother Timothy Burns of Rhode Island and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 47 years Judith Lee Burns, three sisters and five brothers.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 23, 2022, 10am-1pm, at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.
Cremation will take place privately.
