Glendolyn "Glendy" B. Knapp

Glendolyn “Glendy” B. Knapp of Wallkill, NY, passed away Tuesday, October 26, 2021 in Newburgh, NY. She was 87.

The daughter of the late Quentin G. Ettell and Helen E. Barnett Ettell, she was born October 15, 1934 in Teaneck, NJ.

Glendy met her husband Jim roller skating when they were teenagers.  They married in 1954 and have been married for 67 years.  She was a remedial reading aid for Wallkill Central School District, Wallkill, NY.  Anyone who knew her knows what a kind and gentle woman she was.  She comes from a large family, all of whom have kind hearts and strong family values.  She was an exceptional role model for what a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother should be.  Thanks to her kindness and big heart, she and her husband created a tight knit family that will continue to grow and prosper all because of her. Before her passing, she expressed how thankful she was to be a part of such an amazing family which all started with her Mother and Father.   

Survivors include her husband James O. Knapp at home, daughter Nancy Ann Noble of Wallkill, NY, daughter Donna Berryann and husband Tom of North Carolina, daughter Kristine Servidio and husband Jason of Tennessee, sisters Helen (Dolly), Shirley, Patricia (Patsy), and Penny. She also leaves behind 6 Grandchildren: Melissa, David, Andrew, Lindsay, Lacey and Nickole and 10 Great Grandchildren: Kaitlyn, Danny, Lucas, Tristyn, Jacob, Ava, Everly, Gabby, Rosie, and Sophia.

Visitation will be Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 5-7pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.

Cremation will take place privately.
