Joseph J. "Jay" Squillace

Joseph J. “Jay” Squillaceof Montgomery, NY, a resident of the area passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021, in Montgomery.  He was 70.

The son of the late Ross and Rose Rizza Squillace, he was born March 18, 1950 in Hackensack, NJ.

Jay worked as a deputy superintendent for administration for the NYS Dept. Of Corrections, Warwick, NY.

Jay, selfless in nature, committed his entire life to his wife, children, and grandchildren. Jay was a true family man, looking after his family’s well being as his sole responsibility, requiring nothing in return except time spent together.

He was the widower of Connie Barbara Squillace.

Survivors include his daughter Jennifer Mills & husband Harry Jr., son Robert Squillace & wife Jessica, son Jason Squillace, son Brian Squillace & wife Ashley; 8 Grandchildren Christopher, Nicholas, Robbie, Jocelyn, Payton, Gianna, Scarlett, Madelyn; brother  Michael Squillace & wife Victoria, sister Rita Harraka & Joseph, 2 brothers-in-law Stephen Leitner, Thomas & Hope Leitner; nieces & nephews.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Entombment will be in George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery in Paramus, NJ.
