Lydia L. Eckert

Lydia L. Eckert of Wallkill, NY, a longtime resident of the area, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2021 in New Jersey. She was 87.

The daughter of the late Ze Lee and Wang Yao Zhang Lee she was born June 22, 1934 in Tainan, Taiwan.

Lydia attended the Wallkill Reformed Church and was a member of the Wallkill Women’s Club. She enjoyed painting and sewing and loved to cook.

She was the widow of Norman L. Eckert.

Survivors include her daughter Linda Eckert of Newburgh, NY, her longtime companion, Jon Anderson of Saugerties, NY, brother Guang Zhao Lee, brother Wen Xiong Lee, brother Chong Xian Lee all of Tainan, Taiwan and several  Nieces & Nephews- Her nephew Wei-nung Lee had a special place in her heart.

Along with her husband and parents she was predeceased by 2 brothers, Xi Mu Lee and Xi An Lee.

Visitation will be Tuesday, September 21, 2021, from 2-4pm & 7-9pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St., Walden, NY 12586.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, September 22,2021 at 10:30am at Wallkill Reformed Church, 45 Bridge St., Wallkill, NY. Pastor Stan Seagren will officiate. Masks will be required at the church service.

Burial will be in Bruynswick Rural Cemetery in Wallkill, NY.
