Michael Paul Martin, Sr.

Michael Paul Martin, Sr. of Middletown, NY, a retired Mortgage Officer for Walden Federal Savings and Loan, and a longtime resident of the area passed away unexpectedly on March 8, 2018, in Middletown.  He was 71. 
The son of Shirley Knight Martin and the late Paul Martin, he was born March 07, 1947 in Bronx New York.
Mike was passionate about God, his country and his family. He served in the Air Force during the Vietnam Era and he was a member of Goodwill Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
He was a friend to all and enjoyed helping anyone in need.  He enjoyed serving with the Walden Rotary Club and volunteering as a Little League coach; he was an avid Yankee fan.  He was also a member of the American Legion, G.P. Bettinger Post 1308, where he was a past Commander.  
He will be greatly missed.
Survivors include his mother,   Shirley Martin of Rock Wall, TX;  son,   Michael Martin, Jr and his wife Tammy of Pine Bush, NY; daughter,  Jessica Hardy; 8 Grandchildren, Stefanie, Mackenzie, Jacob, Kurtis, Molly, Michael JP, Teddy, Calvin;  great grandson  Ehlanzo; sister  Melanie Martin & husband Anthony of Matamoras, PA, brother  Stephen Martin of Rock Wall, TX, sister  Barbara Ann Banks of Florida, brother John Banks & Theresa of California; aunt   Beatrice Atkins of Pomona, NY, aunt Phoebe Freeley of New York City; many nieces, nephews, and cousins
He was predeceased by his sister  Sherryl Smith
Memorial visitation will be Thursday, March 15, 2018 from 10am-noon at Millspaugh Funeral Home, 22 Bank St.Walden, NY 12586.
Funeral services will follow at 12:30 P.M. at the funeral home.
Pastor Josh Stewart will officiate.
Internment of ashes will be in Orange County Veteran's Cemetery, Goshen, NY.
