Paul E. Townsend

Paul E. Townsend, of Wallkill, NY, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 27, 2021. He was 82.

The son of the late Emerson Townsend and Edna Jenkins Townsend, he was born January 4, 1939 in Kitts Hill, OH.

Paul served in the Air Force and was an inventory control supervisor for Spence Engineering. He was a member of the Maybrook Baptist Church and he faithfully led a Bible study in their home for more than ten years. Paul was an avid hunter, fisher and golfer, and was a longtime member of the Wallkill Rod & Gun Club and the Orange Lake Fish & Game Assoc. He also enjoyed bowling and was part of the Hoe Bowl Bowling League.

Paul is survived by his wife Elaine at home, daughter Donna Lewis & her husband David of Walker Valley, daughter Linda Horrevoets & her husband Ben of Wallkill, daughter Sharon Townsend of Walden; grandchildren Jennifer, Allison, Chelsea, Jessica, Michael, Steven, Kaitlin, Jillian; six Great Grandchildren; sister Wanda Hardy & her husband Philip of Ohio, brother John Townsend of Kentucky.

He was predeceased by his son Paul David Townsend, sister Minnie Mae Kemper, brother Jimmy Townsend and sister-in-law Charlene Townsend.

Visitation will be Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, 5-8pm at Harmony Ministries Baptist Church, 1790 Route 211, Middletown, NY 10941.

The funeral service will be Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, at 12pm at the church.

Burial will be in Wallkill Valley Cemetery.
