Message from The Diehl Family

Edie I got to know you through my husband, Tom. You were an amazing woman with great strength and a vision. You were an inspiration to us. Tom remembers going down to your farm with his grandfather Art, who truly respected and admired you. Art always told Tom that if he was going to trust anyone in business, it would be you and that is the truth! You were always available to talk to and could always provide the Diehl farms with whatever they needed. You filled our orders with a smile and always showed an interest in what was happening at the Diehl farms. You were a huge help to us and we would laugh when we got home to find some extra corn or goodies thrown into our bags. Tom and I would smile and say "that Edie, she did it again". And boy I loved your flowers ! Beautiful and always lasted ! We know you are in a better place but this world will not be the same without you. Much love to the family and we will be seeing you soon. Fondly - Tom & Jen Diehl and the Diehl Family.

A tremendous loss of an awesome, most beautiful grand lady!! She possessed a special ability of making one feel as special as she! We will always remember her warm, tender smile and radiating beauty from within her lovely soul ! I have fond memories of growing up with my dear cousin and great times on the Muller Farm. We were the epitome of a country girl and boy "Down on the Family Farm"! We will always miss her and her great smile of love and happiness!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss. I didn't know Edie terribly well as she was quite a bit older than me, but we lived in front of her family's farm and I spent many a pleasant afternoon in her parent's kitchen and hours playing outside with Keith. I remember Edie as such a kind and beautiful person and am so sorry you've lost her far too soon.

Such a Lady in a pair of farm Pants. For years I was able to watch Edie grow on the farm and see how she would react to different situations. Lord knows on the Hoeffner farm ??? But work needed to be done and done it was. No games, Get the product ready and on the trucks. Many of GREAT memories were had and learned. She was set in her way and that is the women that I will always RESPECT !! Edie, Have a great new adventure. Until we meet again. Ray

We have known and loved this family for years. Our hearts ache for what our dear friends are going through at this time. Edie was a bright light to so many people, her smile, her laugh, her compassion and her friendship. Back in the day she would pick up her children, Ashley and Hunter at Totspot. Now, they are adults and we are so proud to have been a part of their lives. We all have to reach out to jack, the grown kids and now the 2 grandchildren, Stacey, Bob and their children as Edie was the matriarch of a loving, giving, caring family no one could fill her shoes! May you sense the Lord's loving presence today....keeping you close to His heart, assuring you of His tender care, and covering you with His grace . Also remember to call friends that love you when you need something a hug, a listening ear or a meal when you don't want to cook. With God's help and the community that's loves ALL of you we are here to help ease the pain that will only lessen but never go away because You all lost a part of yourselves! God Bless, With love, thoughts and prayers, Joe and Renee Schmidt

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I knew Edie all through school, graduating together in 1966. We joined the Allards Corners Homemakers 4-H club at the same time. Wendy and Ashley I so wish I had known before Weds night that she was your mom and grandma! I wish I had been able to have visited with her. You are all in my and my mother's thoughts and prayers. May God help you through this very difficult time. May she rest in peace!
