I had the honor of first meeting Rose when she was admitted to my workplace. I'm a regular full-time CNA on the floor she lived on, and we became very close. I used to bring in goodies for her when I had the chance, it always made her day. When I found out of the news, I burst into tears. I haven't been working recently due to personal medical issues, and have been out for two weeks. I was so devastated, because she touched my heart like no other person I've worked with. I used to sit with her and just talk about life; showing her pictures of my family, updating her on my pregnancy, and thinking of the beautiful things in life and being grateful. She reminds me so much of my own family members, such as my grandmother and my mother. I wish I had one more chance to hear her laugh and crack a random joke, she absolutely always left me leaving work smiling, even from the most stressful days. A fellow co-worker and personal friend of mine told me how her last days whilst recovering, Rose asked how I was doing and said she missed me. Well, I missed her too! I know she would rather us cherish and love the memories she has given us, and I am so grateful to have met someone so special. I'm sending all of my love and hugs to anyone who needs them. May her beautiful soul rest in peace.
