Theresa “Teddy” B. Arnold of Rock Tavern, NY, a former Kindergarten Teacher for Peekskill School District and St. Mary's in Poughkeepsie, and a life-long area resident of the area passed away Monday, June 27, 2016, at home.  She was 84.

The daughter of the late James R. and Delia Kilcommons Bevans, she was born October 1, 1931 in Cornwall New York.  Married to John T. Arnold June 1, 1957 at St. Thomas of Canterbury, Cornwall-on-Hudson where she also received all of her sacraments.

She graduated from St. Thomas of Canterbury Elementary School, Mt. St. Mary Academy, Newburgh, and Ladycliff College, Highland Falls.  She attended New York University in Manhattan.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Washingtonville, NY.  She was a former parishioner of Holy Name of Mary/Church of the Assumption where she regularly played the organ, and assisted with altar duties.

Survivors include her husband      John (Jack) Arnold at home; daughter   Mary Gould and her husband Kevin of Newburgh,  son  John Arnold, Jr. at home, son James Bevans Arnold of Greensboro, NC and Lynn Arnold of Greensboro, NC, daughter   Frances Wirth and her husband Brian of New Windsor, son  Edward Arnold of Greensboro, NC,  son   Bernard Joseph Arnold and his wife Jennifer of Salisbury Mills, son Patrick Arnold and his wife Yvette of New Windsor;  grandchildren Ryan Gould, Matthew Gould, Stephen Gould, Kayla Gould, Kyle Arnold, Shannon Arnold,  Andrew Arnold, Spencer Arnold, Harrison Arnold, Nicholas Arnold, Sienna Arnold, Oliver Arnold, Regan Arnold, Kira Arnold, Christopher Wirth, Timothy Wirth,      Michael Wirth and his wife Marcella of Walden; great-grandchildren Olivia and James Wirth; brothers-in-law Tom Arnold, Michael Arnold (Helene), sisters-in-law Sr. John Catherine, O.P., Rose Arnold;  many nieces and nephews including the Arnold, Bevans, Hall, Henderson, Lynch, Murphy and Warrener families.

She was predeceased by her parents, and stepmother Frances Jones Bevans and siblings James, Henry, Patricia, Martin, Catherine and John.

Visitation will be Friday, July 1, 2016, 4-7 pm at Millspaugh Funeral Home,22 Bank St. Walden, NY 12586.

A funeral mass will take place 10:00 am, Saturday July 2, 2016, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 145 Benkard Ave, Newburgh, NY 12550. Interment will follow in St. Thomas of Canterbury Cemetery, Cornwall, NY
